Plastic Media Blasting

Plastic Media represents a fast, environmentally sound and cost-effective alternative to traditional chemical and hand stripping. It is a non-aggressive granulated media for use in applications where the underlying substrate cannot be damaged.

Produced from rejected and recycled mouldings which are crushed, ground and graded in carefully controlled conditions, plastic media is ideal for cleaning or stripping away paint, dirt and grease, deburring and deflashing from soft and thin substrates, composites, aluminum, fiberglass and delicate parts without harming the substrate.

Plastic Media is produced in a variety of plastic types with the size and hardness to suit the application. It is designed to be reused multiple times which helps reduce end waste and create cost economies.

Billings Media Blasting provides this service at our location in a large, dedicated cabi-net and booth for your paint stripping and cleaning needs.

Generally plastic media can range in hardness from a 2.4 on the Mohs scale of hard-ness. The Mohs scale is based off a diamond being a 10 as the hardest and talc as 1, the softest.
