With our multiple trucks, compressors and blasting pots, Billings Media Blasting is able to travel to any location in Connecticut, New York or southern New England to provide a variety of media blasting techniques across an unlimited range of solutions (we haven’t met a challenge yet we’re unwilling or unable to pursue!).

Most of the mobile sandblasting/abrasive blasting projects we’ve been contracted to do involve garnet, our abrasive media of choice due to its excellent efficiency and low dust production. When we are on location for boat bottom blasting, we use walnut shell. Other projects demand more aggressive materials, such as garnet. Whatever the media requirements for your project, our deep experience across a very wide variety of media guarantees a professional, efficiency and precise result.

One challenge with on-location blasting can be dust and dust containment. While we know how to minimize dust in ‘open blast’ settings, we are also very experienced in assembling containment environments that contain and collect dust and debris while remaining efficient to work within. In some situations, we employ vacuum blasting where dust and debris is vacuumed from the surface we are blasting simultaneously it’s a very efficient process that is particularly effective where spot blasting is needed.

Our experience in outdoor, open space blasting enables us to understand the sometimes negative impact the media blasting process has on the local as well as larger environment; it’s a loud and dusty process. We are mindful of downwind issues (houses, cars, vegetation, people) and make sure we will have minimal impact on these concerns.
