"I am a manufacturer engineer for Habasit. We have an injection mold that is running 24-6 that we traditionally clean with oven cleaner and by hand. This method does not fully clean the mold and eventually the parts exiting the mold become compromised due to build up within. I did some research and found that Dry Ice Blasting could clean our mold without chemicals and without having to cool the mold. Once finding the process I wanted to use I contacted Glen Billings of Billings Media Blasting. We discussed the project and possible costs and set up a time to look at the mold and logistics of blasting the mold. Once both of us were comfortable with what was expected a time and date were set up quickly due to a short time frame in which we needed the mold cleaned. Billings Media Blasting showed up in a timely manner and blasted the mold. No damage was incurred to the mold and the mess made was minimal with only the built up rubber and residue being left to be vacuumed up. We were very happy with there professionalism and how efficiently they completed the job. This process saved us down time by only being down for one shift for a thorough cleaning. We plan to use this process and Billings Media Blasting again once the mold becomes heavily built up with residue again. I would recommend them to any company needing this service."
